Life at NRD Tech

We're betting on in-person, in-the-future engineering.

Most SaaS Dev orgs will spend the next five years figuring out how to use AI agents. We started there. Our culture exists to let smart, early-career people learn that craft as fast as physically possible — by being in the same room as people doing it well.

What We Care About

Six things we won't compromise on.

Sharpness over seniority

We don't ask how many years you've been writing code. We ask what you've shipped, how you think, and whether you can spot the bug an agent didn't catch.

Same room, same time

On-site, every day. The cost of remote work for early-career engineers is the loss of accidental learning — overhearing a senior engineer debug something, the corridor conversation that becomes a design decision. We don't give that up.

Question before you code

If a spec doesn't make sense, push back. If a prompt isn't producing the right diff, say so. We hire for the kind of person who treats vague specs as an opportunity, not an obstacle.

Always learning, out loud

Weekly knowledge-shares on prompting patterns. Code review as teaching. New tools tried and reported on. The half-life of "current AI best practice" is six weeks; we keep up by sharing what works.

Take it seriously, not yourself

We care a lot about quality and very little about formality. The work is hard; the room shouldn't be. Coffee is good. Lunches are loud.

Real ownership

The PR has your name on it, even when an agent wrote the diff. The bug in production is yours to fix. The growth is yours to claim.

How the Week Runs

A few rituals, deliberately kept.

We don't believe in a calendar full of standing meetings. These four are the ones we protect.

Daily

Morning stand-up. 10 minutes. What's blocking you? What did the agent get wrong yesterday?

Weekly

Knowledge-share Friday: team members present prompting techniques, new tools, or debugging stories. 30–45 minutes of quick, practical learning.

Monthly

Demo day. Each team shows what they shipped. Outsiders welcome. Bad demos get more applause than polished ones.

The Office

Our home in Coimbatore.

We're on Avinashi Road, near Nava India Signal — the middle of where Coimbatore's tech community happens. Open workstations, big monitors, fast wifi, and good coffee.
